Pastor Vernon
Rev. Dr. Vernon Ross, Jr. is the Pastor and Founder of Bethel Community Church of Pottstown, a multi-cultural, Christ-centered ministry established in 2015 to strengthen faith, fellowship, leadership, and community connection throughout Pottstown, Pennsylvania. As chief shepherd and spiritual leader of the church, Rev. Dr. Ross provides vision, guidance, and leadership focused on helping individuals and families grow spiritually while building meaningful relationships rooted in faith.
With decades of leadership experience across ministry, education, workforce development, human resources, technology, and organizational leadership, Rev. Dr. Ross brings a broad perspective that shapes Bethel Community Church’s people-centered approach. His background spans executive leadership roles within nationally recognized organizations, along with years of teaching, mentoring, leadership development, and community engagement focused on helping people grow and succeed.
Rev. Dr. Ross holds an Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Urban Studies from Lutheran Theological Seminary, a Master of Science in Computer Science Education from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Jackson State University. He also completed professional studies in Human Resource Management through Villanova University.
Beyond church leadership, Rev. Dr. Ross has contributed to education initiatives, workforce development efforts, diversity and inclusion leadership, STEM education advancement, mentoring programs, and university partnerships. His professional career includes leadership experience supporting talent development, organizational growth, training initiatives, and education programs that positively impacted individuals across multiple industries and learning environments.
